Oleksandr Usyk has come back to fight for Ukraine

The legendary boxer, the current world heavyweight champion of the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO organizations has returned to his homeland, which is heroically defending itself against aggression from Russia. He came back to help his countrymen during the Russian invasion. He posted a video on social media that he recorded on the Polish-Ukrainian border. In it he says:

“Hello, my name is Aleksander Aleksandrowicz Usyk. I would like to address the Russian people. If we consider ourselves Orthodox brothers, do not send your soldiers, do not send your children to our country. Do not fight with us. I would also like to address the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. You can stop this war! Don't put any conditions on us, just sit down at the negotiating table. That's what you need is talking.The war must all be stopped. Our children, our mothers, our grandmothers, regular people hide in cellars. We are in our country, we cannot do otherwise, we are defending ourselves. Stop it! Stop this war! "

 

The boxer was previously criticized for leaving Ukraine in a difficult situation. In the video, he explained:

“Many media wrote here that I had fled the country. Of course it is not so. I've been at work, but I'm already home. "
